The Problems with the Relief Effort in Haiti

One of the most recent examples of aid not getting to the people in recent times is the devastating earthquake in Haiti. It struck the area of Léogâne approximately 25km west of the capital Port-au-Prince on Tuesday 12th January 2010 at 16:53 local time. Overseas aid is one of the most controversial topics in the modern day and age in which we live, due to the oxymoronic complexity, yet inherent simplicity of it.
