Does anyone else believe that the Mayans's prediction for the end of the world is not literal? Perhaps, it means that after those days we can not do anything to save the world from climate change, poverty, etc - thus, the end of the world.

I think that the mayans could only foresee so much and therefore finished their calendar in 2012 but that's my very sceptical opinion :P
