okay so for some time now i have been thinking about this and why is there so much animal cruelty, whats really the point in hurting a defenless creature and what do you get out of it, a sense of leadership because you can not get it anywhere else, scientists say that animals don't have all the emotions a human has but since when does that make it ok to test products on them they we are then going to use, theres no need for them to suffer so we can be ok as a life is a life regardless of what shell it is placed into. the main thing that upsets me is bull fighting theres no need for is there, for some people animal testing is understandable because it could save a life somewhere, but bull fighting is just seeing a bull scared and have to fight and unwinnable battle for its life so a crowd can laugh at it, it may sound cruel but i would really like to do what thoose people do to the bulls back to them because they deserve it, that bull never did anythign wrong and it wasn't born to be used for entertainment like that, so someone help me why do people get a enjoyment out of it?

yeah theres nothing i can do by myself but together we can make a stand,

i'm not just writing words with no back up to them, i have been a vegetarian for about 9 months now and yeah i have temptation but when is there not temptation in all battles in life, but i don't look back because i haven't ate meat because i am helping a animal, and its been proven that if everyone stopped eating meat then more people would be feed in the world it sounds weird but its true, because the crops wouldn't need to be feed to all the animals because there would be less of them because they wouldnt be being born to be eaten, so yeah just thought i would leave this please feel free to respond whether your for or against i would like to know your opinion.

April Williamson...
yeh i totally agree with you, abotu where the animals come from is a important issuse that also needs to be looked into, in RE this year we had to watch these films about how animals are treated and it showed that no farms would let you see how the animals were kept so people had to sneak in at night to see how the animals were treated.
and i will add this to a discussion board, thanks for writing :) xx

Hey!

Totally agree with you, I have been a vegetarian for coming up on five years now and I don't regret a second of it :) I think that its not only the medicinal side to animal cruelty or sport, but also the way that farm animals are treated. This is an issue which seems quite taboo in society; people aren't willing to address where their food comes from. Millions of animals are born and bred to be consumed by people, I totally understand if people aren't willing to give up meat and that its a natural cycle of life, but some of the level of cruelty that is reached in battery farms is absolutely horrific. If people actually bothered to find out what happened to the animals that they eat while they were alive, I seriously believe that they would not want to eat meat any more or at least know where their food came from. Like alot of things, I think that this is an issue of education, its not anybody's fault that they dont know, but its a message that needs to be spread so that people KNOW and therefore make an informed decision on what tey are doing.

Maybe even a discussion board is in order here? xxx
