England vs Eygpt Post Match Analysis

First of all check out the pictures I have uploaded onto my profile and see how trigger happy and excited we were!

We had a FANTASTIC time! Even walking up to Wembley Stadium surrounded by thousands of people and surprisingly loud Eyptians the energy was already electric. It was like we were being carried by a surge of energy that was out of this world, energy and the smell of greasy hot dogs and even greasier onions. Yum!

When we got to our seats we realised that we were right next to the Eygpt fans! A quick check to confirm that we were in the right seats and then we commenced with the infamous first timers jargon. Loot at the pitch! It's small! Look at the seats! Look at that man! Look at that baby! It's loud! We're so small! It's amazing! Look at the sky! Look at the...etc etc ofcourse each comment interspersed by squels of delight! It was amazing to feel so small but feel part of something so huge.

When the England players jogged on we were so happy, trying to spot who was who all the time. As I said when I saw the Liverpool god Steven Gerrard jog onto the pitch wearing the number 4 jersey I gripped my sister's arm so tightly she claims to have a bruise.

The match itself didn't set off into the greatest start, primarily because they scored first. Yet still it was like we were in our own show. Like just spectating is a sport in itself. Once the goals started coming in the uproar was amazing, we both sounded husky after from all the shouting even though we didn't know we shouted that much.

For me the man of the match was Gareth Barry, he held up midfield fantastically and he made sure that the defenders and the strikers were linked and he worked 100% all through the match. I hope he makes it to South Africa. Theo Walcott made me cringe everytime he was in possession of the ball, or rather busy giving it away. At times I wondered if Eygpt actually had 12 men with Walcott on their side. But I sincerly hope he gets better and whatever is setting him back from his peak gets resolved. To be honest I think his injury has had grave psychological impact on him, making him realise that if he gets injured it could be his career over before it has even started so therefore he's holding back a little.

But anyway, thank you WHRN for this opportunity and thank you John Terry for playing great despite the boo boys and girls (like my sister)!

No, it's all about strength and Arsenal is a great club for young players, but sometimes playing at a smaller club where you can DEVELOP that skill and talent is just as great, then you can peak at a big club. That's my point.

And yeah! I felt great at watching England win too. To be honest I think it was because I was there watching so... :-)

I watched it. I was proud to see our England footballers jog into that football pitch and put the opponents to shame.
I felt proud of My country for once. All Hail England.
Wayne Rooney did a splendid job, I knew he could do it, They knew the mission was to beat Egypt and they accomplished the mission successfully.Seeing that our team won, I could Hold my head high and fearless and shameless because we are WINNERS..X and we beat them BAD!

Haha :-) Just what my dad would say. I don't mean to be harsh and for England's sake I want him to do well but sometimes these young boys they bring them on just a tad bit too young and all the media hype and money just takes them up in a puff of smoke. So even though they could be great they aren't given the time and at the end of the day they are YOUNG boys playing a man's game. Therefore it is easier for them to get hurt. Not all can have the strength of 10men like Wayne Rooney!!

LOL, glad u had a nice time. I agree with what you've said about Theo Walcott, but being an Arsenal supporter, I don't like to be too harsh, he wasn't terrible.
